Welcome to middle school!  The middle school program in Knox County Schools consists of grades 6-8 and serves as the transitional bridge between elementary and high school.  In middle school, the unique needs of young adolescents are nurtured in an instructional environment that promotes academic excellence, career exploration, personal achievement, and positive peer and adult relationships.

Through the use of teaming, groups of students are scheduled with an interdisciplinary team of teachers to support the seamless delivery of instruction in the core academic areas and to foster a sense of community and belonging.  Students move outside of their team for elective course offerings that provide a range of exploratory opportunities for students to develop their own talents and skills.
